Children’s Fashion Show | Keep Reaching for the Stars

If you want to see the heart and soul of The Women’s Board’s work, look no further than The Children’s Fashion Show.

Held in conjunction with the 40th Art & Antiques Show, the Children’s Fashion Show highlights the mission of The Women’s Board – to ensure the finest healthcare available at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. For the last 15 Shows, this extraordinary event features adorable Wolfson patients and gives them a moment to shine.

“Keep Reaching for the Stars” will be held at the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center on Sunday, Dec. 4, the final day of this year’s Art & Antiques Show. The Show will take the audience back to Casey Kasem’s American Top 40 and the Art & Antiques Show’s hip 1970s theme.

This uplifting, can’t-miss event will feature incredible young people modeling the latest children’s fashions provided by Belk, the Show’s Sponsor. Rion Paige, Wolfson patient and X-Factor finalist will again perform. The Nashville musician and Jacksonville native performed two songs at last year’s Children Fashion Show, ¡Vivan Los Niños!, and we are so grateful for her and for First Tennessee Bank who is the Entertainment Presenter again.

The Women’s Board is honored to celebrate current and former Wolfson patients through the annual Children’s Fashion Show. The 2015 ¡Vivan Los Niños! Children’s Fashion Show came alive through the classic tale of The Story of Ferdinand that reminds us to be simply who we are created to be. “Long Live the Children!” | Photograph by Susan Michal

At the family-friendly reception following the Show, attendees can enjoy delicious desserts, small plates and special activities. Don’t miss the Portrait Gallery sponsored by the Lazzara Family Foundation, featuring beautiful photographs of each child model.

We hope you will be at this special event! Tickets are available in advance by calling The Women’s Board office at 904.202.2886, or during the Show. Prices are $5 for students, $10 for adults, and children under 5 are free.

Past Children Show Highlights:

The 2013 Children’s Fashion Show drew on Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book” for inspiration, as the Show’s 2013 theme was “Impressions of India.”

The 2012 “Highland Fling” Art & Antiques Show featured all things Scottish. It featured live performances and hijinks by NFL mascot Jaxson de Ville.
